Caminaccio Primavera in Province of Brescia

"I've been going to Caminaccio for many years now and I have introduced the restaurant to many of my friends and family, for all of them a visit to the Lake Garda wouldn't be complete without a visit to the 'garden restaurant'. I prefer to think that they have affectionatley named this restaurant so, not because they can't pronounce Caminaccio but because of the restaurants' beautiful garden setting. As dusk falls the garden is lit up by lights hanging under the trees to create a totally 'chilled out' ambience, thus generating one of those 'holiday moments'. The family run restaurant is located in the centre of the historic village of Portese and its speciality is 'pesce e carne ai ferri', which means grilled fish or meat. They have made a fine art of cooking over hot coals and what gives the place even more appeal is that the grill kitchen is smack bang in the middle of the garden so you can watch them cooking your dinner. The 'Fitto Misto' is also very good and worth sharing as a starter. The staff are friendly and helpful, the setting is stunning and the food is fantastic......so what are you waiting for....book a table now and give yourself an occasion to remember."

"Finally what can we say? We had a good time there, the food is fantastic, the service is really friendly and the prices are absolutely fair. From the grilled fish to the pasta, everything is pretty good and the portions are not too much and not too little. A place to feel good."

"It is a great place. Not lake view, which is good! It prevents any random tourist to eat there. You will need a reservation. I can recommend: mid-sized portion of Tagliatelle al Ragu (10€) as starter, then grilled fish or fried calamari (~15€) with mixed vegetables (6€) as side dish. Zucchini are amazing! Deserts are not that spectacular, but you are here for the stuff from the outdoor barbecue! Different Lugana white wines are available for reasonable price (~30€ Ca dei Frati). Great thing: some dishes are on the menu for the last 20 years … and still taste the same!"

"Absolutely lovely! After reading a review on here my girlfriend and I went wondering what to expect. We were not disappointed at all. When arriving make sure you go to the garden because that is where all the seating and the kitchen is. The kitchen is a free standing conservatory building with glass panels to see the food being cooked in. The waiters were lovely and as it is a family owned business it seemed to care about you and there was a great atmosphere. I ordered a steak and chips and got a beautifully cooked bit of meat and it took up a rather large plate Would happily return and take family and friends with me"

"Cercando un ristorante vicino al camping dove ho trascorso le vacanze, abbiamo optato per uscire e cercare un ristorante. Il Caminaccio mi è uscito tra le prime scelte in zona Salò/San felice. Abbiamo mangiato pesce alla griglia, di lago e di mare. Serviti bene e con simpatia. Qualità prezzo giusto. Poi situato in un borgo fantastico, 2 passi dopo pranzo, per visitare il piccolo comune hanno dato ancora più piacere nel aver scelto questo ristorante. Complimenti !!!"

"Essen war wie immer fantastisch. Top Service. Super Ambiente. Immer wieder gerne hier. Der Fisch ist top frisch und war sensationell auf dem Grill zubereitet. Das Steak perfekt auf den Punkt. Statt dem üblichen Grillgemüse gibt es hier gedämpftes Gemüse dazu, welches sehr gut abgeschmeckt war. Dazu noch eine gute Flasche Wein und der Abend war perfekt. 5 Sterne gerne!"
